Answers to frequently asked questions.
Shipping
For my US customers: I’ll send you a shipping estimate for you to confirm and pay for after your purchase. For shipping in the continental US, you can expect to pay $50-150 for smaller items and furnishings, and $350-850 on larger items like credenzas and tables.
For my international customers: I’ll send you a shipping estimate for you to confirm and pay for after your purchase. Costs range from $100-300 for smaller items to $1000-2000 for larger pieces.
Why isn’t there fixed shipping costs? Due to constantly-changing freight costs, and the nature of sending larger, pre-assembled furniture & art installations, I create custom crates for each item and calculate the shipping accordingly. Once you purchase an item, I’ll work with you on a shipping option that best fits your building, location, available assistance for unloading, and timeline.
If you are purchasing multiple products, I will combine them together for one shipping cost.

Wood selection and changes
I hand-select furniture-grade, and in some cases instrument-grade, wood. The variance of the wood is what makes it special, but means that I cannot guarantee a particular look of grain, color, knots, defects, cracks, stains, foreign objects, etc.
Wood came from a living, breathing organism and even when it is used in furniture it can exhibit dynamic changes. Dimensions, flatness, straightness, and color will change with time and is the natural result of changes in humidity, temperature, UV exposure. Climate differences between my shop and your space are the largest contributor to wood changes. Addressing environmental conditions in your space are the easiest solution for any issues, should they come up (very rare).
While I do my level best to source material that is dried properly to increase stability, there is no guarantee against the above-mentioned changes. There are no refunds given for changes or damages resulting from environmental changes in wood or other materials.
Other materials also can undergo changes over time. Metals can patina, synthetic resins and glues can discolor due to high UV exposure, and some of the finishes I use can soften under extreme heat.

Jonathan Jung places customer satisfaction at top priority along with workmanship and selection of materials. I am personally involved with the making and approving of every item that leaves my shop. Our costs, including but not limited to, transaction fees, bank fees, wire transfer fees, merchant fees, credit card fees, packaging, and shipping, are never refundable in any circumstance. In the event that I do accept a return, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
